Access to Quality Education

More than 50% of the 3.8M OSCY nationwide belong to bottom 30 percent of families based on per capita income. Among the top 3 reasons mentioned for dropping out of school include early marriage or family matters (42.3%), high cost of education (20.2%) and lack of personal interest (19.7%).

One of the strategies under Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 is to accelerate human capital development. Particularly, it aims to develop and improve interventions to keep children in school and expand access to higher education.

 

To support these goals, PMI intends to:
